Applications of the MMS system

Kobacon uses the world’s highest standard MMS (Pegasus TRK700 Evo) for road maintenance and other operations.
The accuracy of the MMS is RTK: 12mm, post-processing: 11mm. The system is characterized by the installation of two SLAM lasers at the front and rear, which allows the trajectory data to be corrected under non-GNSS conditions, allowing the MMS to be operated with stable accuracy. In addition, two phase-shift laser scanners are installed, allowing scanning at 2 million points per second, enabling high-density, high-precision measurements required for infrastructure inspections.
This exhibition will explain the accuracy verification of the MMS, measurement examples, and future development of infrastructure DX services.

Expanding to Construction DX

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport formulated
i-Construction 2.0 in April 2024, and is working to realize automation using digital technology.
Construction sites are also moving to ICT Construction Stage II, digitizing and visualizing construction sites, and making further use of digital data to improve work efficiency and reduce manpower.
Kobacon supports these digitalization and digitization of construction sites with measurement technology and data creation technology. Using various laser scanners such as TLS, MMS, and ULS, as well as 3D measurement equipment such as multi-beam and aerial photogrammetry, we have built up know-how and a track record in surveying technology at many sites. We are also working on creating various 3D data to help improve work efficiency and reduce manpower at construction sites.
In this exhibition, we will provide an overview of measurement examples of these devices and explain services that support the digitalization of construction sites.

iTwinCapture software Demonstration

Kobacon uses Bentley’s iTwinCaptureModeler (formerly ContextCapture) as photogrammetry software and has been selling it for about five years.
iTwinCapture is suitable for infrastructure inspections, as it can measure the shape of structures in detail, as well as for construction surveying. In addition, iTwinCapture can generate highly accurate and reality modeling (meshes) not only from photos and videos, but also from point cloud data obtained from a scanner.
In this exhibition, we will actually use the iTwinCapture software to demonstrate the process of photo analysis and examples of its applications.
