Director, Railway Development Division. Joined the company in 1995. After gaining experience in sales and as branch manager at the Tokyo Branch, he worked in the Head Office Sales Planning Department and Product Strategy Team. He began activities in the railway sector in 2017. After serving as Sales Director of the East Japan Railway Branch and Branch Manager of the West Japan Railway Branch, he assumed his current position in 2025, contributing to the development of the railway industry through "solution creation and product development" that addresses the industry's challenges.

The labor shortage in current railway construction, which primarily involves nighttime work, is severe. Particularly in construction environments where work must be completed in the limited time between the last and first trains, with daily changing worksites, many aspects still rely on "manual labor." Through this presentation, Nikken Rental will propose productivity improvements at railway construction sites through safe and secure mechanized construction using our original brand, and present a vision for the future of railway construction.

Joined Taisei Corporation in 2003. Primarily as a design engineer, he has participated in over 100 projects, including design of concrete structures, earth structures such as roads, and technical proposals for competitive bidding. He also has experience at construction sites, achieving structural rationalization and schedule reduction through consultations with project owners. Currently, he positions BIM/CIM as a "thinking tool" and promotes the creation of an environment where anyone can easily work with 3D. He has consistently delivered over 290 training sessions nationwide for more than 2,800 participants, developed plugins, and deployed point cloud, AR/VR, and cloud applications. Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering), First-Class Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineer, First-Class Registered Architect, Master of Technology Management (Professional Degree).

This presentation reexamines why BIM/CIM has not spread widely, redefining 3D not as a "deliverable" but as a "thinking tool." Centered on SketchUp, it introduces the challenge of creating an environment where anyone can work with BIM/CIM models and the democratization of 3D. Through nationwide dissemination activities and practical field implementation, the presentation shares how deeper understanding and shifts in thinking emerge, while charting a course for evolving future construction.
